With the EU fining MSFT, the Fed has greater incentive to move this deal along. As far as the IEEE is concerned, they are the only ones who have not seen the writing on the wall and will receive little more then conciliatory gestures from congress. If we are to live in a world where people in our own sphere of influence have a choice of democracy, we need to open up our markets. The EU has scared US lawmakers into understanding that if we do not start incorporating countries into free trade agreements, they will.
