David Kay was carefully chosen at a time when the Bush Administration knew that they were in a deep hole that they'd dug with their dangerous exaggerations. I'm sure that he'll "say" something. I'll be watching what the facts are, not the spin he puts on them.

Show me the facts that support the Bush rhetoric on "imminent threat to America and the world," and I'll agree that at least on the "danger" argument, Bush had a point. Show me a "weapons program" or a "residual capacity" left over from pre-91 and I'll ask; why did we rush to war and why are we losing so many American lives for a problem that we could have tried to solve without war or with a limited strike?

Remember when Clinton bombed the suspected wmd sites? Remember that Saddam was, as even the Bush people admit, far weaker in 02 than he was in 91? What was so imperative that hundreds of our people, thousands of innocent Iraqis and billions of dollars have been chewed up? That's the question I want answered and I'll be amazed if David Kay has an answer for that question. In the meantime, it's your heroes that are back pedaling and you might want to be careful your nose doesn't get crushed.
