Mr. Vidrine, re: >>"why shouldn't we be concerned with the Jews using Hollywood and the media to constantly bash Christians and Christianity?"<<

We don't need Jews, Muslims or African Headhunter's to "bash Christians and Christianity." The fact is that Catholic priests, with the collusion of the Church hierarchy, along with "reverands" like Jimmy Swaggert and many others are doing fine on their own. That makes for news, it makes for movies and books and it calls into question the "holiness" of those that claim to be inspired by their faith in Christ. Blame it on the Jews if you like, but maybe, just maybe, you ought to take a look at the message and not the presumably "evil" people you see as the messengers.

As far as the concurrence of Israeli and American interests in the current Administration's policy in the Middle East, I agree that they are amazingly aligned. There are some similarities of interests there, and there are some interests that the Bush people have that go beyond Israel. I believe those interests (our long standing lust for their oil and a naive belief that we can "Americanize" the Mid East) are so imbedded among these neo-cons that even if there were no Israel they would have invaded and occupied Iraq at the first opportunity the American people gave them.

I think that what the Sharon-led government has done since it took power is equally as damaging as what the Arafat-led Palestinians have done. As a very insightful leader told them both a few years back, their children or grandchildren will have to make peace someday and all the terrible suffering from the ongoing conflict will not prevent that result.
