So far the market is not overly impressed about our control of Iraqi oil. Oil is selling for more than before the war.

If we keep our word and leave, we will not be in control of Iraqi oil or Iraqi politics. Even if we break our word, we will not be able to control Iraqi politics unless we establish our own little puppet dictatorship. And as for terrorism, our actions give recruitment for terrorist organizations a big boost.
