Appr. one week left, temperatures already returned to normal in scandinavia one week ago,

More pressure on USA and the Kyoto agreement.

UK is worrying about what to do in some 5-6 winters when they do not have enough gas to keep their elderly alive.

That is, more and accelerated investments, europipes, etc, will be done in getting energy from Russia, something both europe and russia has been waiting for. (unluckily unecessarily delayed by US interests in the 1980s)

However, lets hope US will get its imports going from Murmansk, tough stuff with the rough weathers, ice,and etc.

PS Seems that the international full scale prototype fusion reactor, 500MW, will be built in europe as most of the technology and knowhow comes from europe, super-conductive magnets, etc. France seems like the place of consenus choice (although the super conductive stuff comes from Finland)

PPS Interesting stuff that Enron did not invest in it, they just lost lots of cash on energy and weather futures.
On the other hand, both China and especially japan are active and willing participants.
