A new virus just being encountered today:
Msblast.A is a new virus that has just started spreading around in the wild-- from www.f-prot.com. A buddy got it through email, it shuts down norton antivirus and shuts down the PC about every 3 minutes so it's a nasty one when you are trying to get rid of it.. have not seen anything on it from the Symantec site yet.. FYI
-------------
addition: he thinks he finally got it with this:
housecall.trendmicro.com

Under Device Manager,Display adapter, it said ATI 3d Rage Pro[atir3]. What puzzles me is that the display slider moves all the way to the right for 1280x1024 but I get the message it can't adjust to it. What sense does that make. The best I can get is 1024x768 High Color 16 bit. Is it advisable to keep the monitor if it adjusts to that without a new video card. I really don't know what to do.... I have 30 days to return it.
