RE:"I think we're witnessing the last great days of the US of A.........the painful decline of what was once a great country!"

Ted, the fat lady started singing 40 years ago!

Let me tell you how I stand on the Davis recall...

Basically I'm against it. That will be a y/n question on the same ballot as the list of would-bes come the election in California.
Even if you say no, I think you can still vote for Arnold or whomever, just in case.

What's to prevent this from happening everytime someone gets elected?
---

Anyway, after looking at Arnolds finances it's hard for anyone to say he's a lousy businessman. The guy is worth between $200M and $800M...everything from munis, to stocks to 40 pieces or Real Estate.

I guess his theme will be "You caaaan do it too!"

You know, Davis could always resign and Bustamante would be appointed Governor and this recall would be moot.

Stay toooned!

Ted, The damn fool spent millions to recall Davis only to be upstaged by Arnold........and then he cries about it in a press conference.

Issa was the favorite whipping boy of Democrats who attacked his motives for funding the recall effort. It's funny how they overplayed that card, because they would have done better had Issa stayed in the race.

Meanwhile, I see another card being overplayed by the Dems. It focuses on how bad the recall is for California and for America in general. The side effect, of course, is the unintentional emphasis on how bad things already are in California. Let's face it, most people can't imagine how Ah-nuld can possibly do any worse. And besides, it's cool to have the Terminator as governor!

P.S. - Have you seen "Humble" Carl's candidacy to become governor? One of SI's own regulars!
