If you aren't a happy person, and aren't following your bliss, it will be a lot harder to make your corner of the world better. Unhappy people make poor "improvers". They are often the problem in the corner of the world, as opposed to the solution.

At the core, being a good human is to leave your corner of things better than it would have been had you not been there, not collecting the most toys or finding your bliss.......

My approach to leaving my corner better off is to always to constructive, my little mantra. I appreciate your point about toys, but I think that bliss, when approached responsibly, is very compatible with quality corners.
