The "American Conservative" has suggested that Dean would do well to take immigration reform as an election plank. Bush is a failure on immigration and will be defenseless if attacked. His supporters are mostly xenophobic and some of them could desert him. Of course Bush has screwed pretty much everybody but immigration reform is one area where he has screwed his own vote base and Dean can capitalize by highlighting that. I say only Dean can do that because most of the others -- Gephardt, Lieberman, and even Kerry, dug their own graves when they surrendered to Bush re: the war.
