Lisa,

When you trade futures you need to have a lot of cash available. These guys keep their cash in very liquid bonds. Commodities are not like stocks. If you are long you better have the cash to buy the goods and if you are short you better have the cash to pay someone for the goods to deliver to the person that has the long against your position. This is a different world than buying and selling stocks.
