Lieberman has yet to be nominated by his own party before running for president --whereas Prez Bush is already the undisputed, unchallenged Republican candidate for 2004. The whole article by Jean Shaw is but a cheap piece of bootlicking... by the Zionist freaks. Re: ''Joe Lieberman has one problem: George W. Bush,'' says Rep. Eric Cantor, Virginia Republican. ''Bush is the strongest president on U.S.-Israel relationships we've ever had.'' WRONG. Let's rephrase it into: ''Joe Lieberman has one problem: post-911 George W. Bush,'' says Gustave Jaeger. ''Bush is the strongest president on just about every issue (except the economy) we've ever had.'' The problem with Lieberman is that the guy, like it or not, will get stuck with the so-called "Florida Discount" episode, that is, one of the messiest, sorriest event that befouled the last Presidential campaign... How can you seriously expect the American people to dismiss President G.W. Bush and replace him with his former Democratic challenger? To be sure, perhaps not all Americans are grateful to Bush for having so masterfully steered their country in such dire circumstances (911, anthrax, DC sniper shootings, Iraq, Enron,...) but they'll never humiliate him by voting for Lieberman. And you know that --and the Jews know that too.... Hence, Lieberman's open-and-shut case... A Lieberman candidature would be "counter-productive", so to speak. Re: Mr. Cantor, chief deputy Republican whip, says Mr. Bush ''is more committed to Israel as a Jewish state than any other president.'' ''That is fundamental when it comes to Jewish voting patterns for 2004,'' he said. Mr. Cantor, who is Jewish and was elected from a district that is only 1 percent Jewish, said: ''At the end of the day, Jews are coming to realize they can't afford to be Democrats.'' Now the above scrap is another interesting piece of politicking worth debunking... So, according to pundit Cantor, the "party/political loyalty" of most American Jews revolves entirely --exclusively?-- around the issue of Israel... Well, well... and what of liberal issues? Social security? minorities? Gay and lesbian marriages? faith issues? Where are our brave Jewish champions of liberal values? Has their blind support of Israel completely trumped their liberal leanings? You tell me. Re: ''Right now, Israel is first and foremost in the minds of American Jews because its very survival is at stake,'' says Mr. Cowen, who helped Maryland Gov. Robert L. Ehrlich Jr., a Republican, raise money from Jewish donors last year. ''That loyalty and concern for Israel transcends partisan politics.'' I'm afraid that ''That loyalty and concern for Israel transcends just about everything --including their loyalty to the US... should the US government turn inimical to the Likudniks.'' Gus
