Early in my investing career, I didn't understand what buy low and sell high truly meant. I always thought it meant to wait for a stock like RRI, for example, to crash to new lows and jump on the band wagon, looking for the big dream. Although this strategy can work at times, most often it doesn't. We continue to hear the comments, "buy a basket of these stocks." Why? Because buying this type of stock doesn't provide consistent profits. So, we hedge our poor investing strategy, hoping that one or two stocks out of the basket will help us become profitable. Warren Buffett was successful as an investor because his system of stock selection was consistent. He found a strategy, that when applied, provided results on a "CONSISTENT" basis. There are several strategies that will succeed in the market but, the key to success is their "consistency" in picking winners. You don't always pick a winner but, if you cut your losses on your losers, you can gain profits on a consistent basis. I think the term BUY LOW - SELL HIGH now relates to finding a fundamentally strong stock bouncing off a major level of support. I don't think it means buying low prices. I think it means buying support on a stock that is trending higher with good fundamental and technical support. I think a stock like CLZR meets this criteria. I bought this stock off it's successful test of the 50 dma, a major level of support. A strong performing stock is supposed to gather investor attention at the 50 dma. CLZR has done this.stockcharts.com [h,a]daclyiay[d20030313,20030813][pc20!b50!f][vc60][iut!Lh21,3!Lah12,26,9]&pref=G There are other selections out there that meet the same criteria of buying low and selling high but, this is supposed to be with stocks that are showing good fundamentals and technicals, in my opinion. Buying strength, at a good price, is the way to consistent profits. If anyone has a way of back-testing strategies, I think you will find this strategy to be very successful over the long run. All in my opinion, of course, dabum
