I can no Longer get any file attachments to open from email. Even Attachments that I was able to open in the past no longer open.

The emails come with the file attachment(paper clip) shown; but when I click on the paper clip none of the choices( open or save) are lit and I can't get to the attachment.

I use Outlook Express 6.0. Recently I downloaded some security updates from MS and I added McAfee Spam Killer either of which may have caused the problem I guess.

Under the Security Tab in Outlook Express I unchecked the box that said "Do not allow attachments to be opened or saved that could potentially be a virus;" but this did not make any difference. Any suggestions on how to get to email attachments? Thanks.

TC,

Computer started making multiple Poing, Poing, Poing sounds at random when I logged on this morning. Never done that before.

Also we just got a ton of "returned messages" in our email yesterday indicating I may have some sort of virus.

It's a Gateway 450 and I'm on a phone modem at 56kb with fully updated AVG.

Anyone have a suggestion?
