Don't waste your time with these clowns. It's like everything else in life. Don't worry about excessive drinking and liberal DUI laws UNTIL your child is run over by a drunk. Don't worry about frivolous lawsuits UNTIL you are sued for something petty. Don't worry about individual liberties UNTIL one of yours is taken away. Don't worry about ridiculous unemployment rules UNTIL you have a business and have to pay when employees simply quit. Don't worry about thieving corporate leaders UNTIL your pension plan disappears.

In the same way, these people who scoff at religion and certain "conspiracies" will not worry UNTIL they realize they have been turned into complete sheep or until they "cry for the rocks to fall upon them."

I remain,

SOROS

people who so strongly take offense at what I post are unwilling to look at a single source
You know that we don't how? You are part of the CFR and have spy cameras in our homes?

Lennin took financial aid from many sources and who knows what the motives behind the money were and what Lenin had to promise.
OH. OH! OH!! So the Soviet's were really our ALLIES all through the Cold War! Now I get it! IT ALL MAKES SENSE!

Right.

He even took aid from the German's.
How about this theory:
The German's were at war with Russia. Do you dispute that?
There had been multiple periods of unrest prior to that war, including the assassination of a czar? Do you dispute that?
That unrest included serious left wing rebellions. Do you dispute that?

That war with Germany? It caused a revolution. The Russian soldiers were ill fed and ill equipped.
Russia couldn't even supply all of its soldiers with rifles. In 1915, 25% of the Russian troops at the front were unarmed; they had to wait to inherit the guns of dead soldiers. At least the tsarist government demonstrated even-handed incompetence by neglecting civilians. The transportation system broke down, and the cities went without food and fuel.

They were cannon fodder. There were severe shortages on the home front. The public put up with this for several years and then rioted, revolted, and overthrew the Czar's gov't.
By March 1917, the civilians were rioting and the soldiers mutinying. The tsar, Nicholas II, was at the front "inspiring" the troops. His imperious majesty would have been safer with the Germans. He found himself under arrest and confronted with a delegation of government officials demanding his abdication.

Initially the revolution was a led by Alexander Kerensky, a WESTERN LIBERAL WHO INTENDED TO SET UP A DEMOCRACY.
Thus, a new and liberal government came to power in Russia. All those cultured, sensitive souls from Chekhov plays were running the country. This provisional government commanded the fervent support of millions; unfortunately, none of them were in Russia. What is freedom of the press to a nation of illiterates? The provisional government inherited chaos and chose to perpetuate it. Although the world war had toppled the monarchy, the new government intended to keep Russia in the carnage.

Do you dispute that?

And then
. The Russian masses were ready for any leader or ideology that ended the war, and Lenin took this as his opportunity.

In late March 1917, Lenin walked into the German consulate in Zurich and offered to overthrow the Russian government. He must have learned the word "chutzpah" from Leon Trotsky. Lenin peddled the Bolshevik Revolution essentially as an initial public offering. If Germany provided him with the start-up capital for his venture, he would seize control of Russia and withdraw it from the war. Germany could then shift its eastern army to France, and, with that additional half-million men, bludgeon its way to Paris and victory.

Though Lenin's scheme was preposterous, the Germans were receptive to gruesome ideas. The Second Reich had already pioneered submarine warfare and poison gas, so it was willing to invest in proletarian uprisings. Germany provided the train and traveling expenses for Lenin and his cadre of Bolshevik exiles. They arrived in Russia in April 1917; they were in control by November.

There was no one to defend democracy in Russia. Russian liberals made excellent novelists, but their idea of defense against a Bolshevik onslaught was to make a sarcastic remark in French. Most of the liberals survived the revolution (even Lenin thought that they were too amusing to kill) and ended up as tenured professors at Ivy League schools.

But you're right. Lenin, the Kaiser, and Woodrow Wilson were all on the same team.

And you really wonder why the whole site is laughing?

The donors didn't envision a Stalin taking power after Lennin was shot and that they would never get what they expected.
Oh, some of us understand this.

It doesn't ALWAYS happen. It is the way to bet it, though. Our Revolution survived, mainly because those guys in Philadelphia were steely-eyed realists, not nutball idealists. The British survived. They took a long, winding road to democracy and you nutballs got thrown off the train on the curves.

Money buys air time for propaganda, sometimes called campaign ads
OF COURSE campaign ads are propaganda. Do you honestly think there are any adults who don't know that?

The CFR through many fronts gives money to their candidates
Prove it. And so what? The AARP wants socialized medicine; the doctors fight it. Computer manufacturers want cheap imported electronics components; the computer manufacturers fight them.

There is hardly just one interest at work and there are much likelier explanations than conspiracy.

Why are there at least half a dozen political parties frozen out by the media and cash poor because corporations and special interest groups don't donate to them?
Because they don't like them? They honestly consider them inimical to their interests? Or consider them dangerous or crazy?
So the one party, two platform political system stays in power.
Or maybe people aren't that interested in wandering far from the path their on. Those little hikes in the weeds can be very dangerous. As the Russian Revolution shows.

They are invited to join because they already have the same ideology as the CFR. That's a criteria of membership. So they can join, and then work on the grand scheme. They are an elite group.
If these guys are SO POWERFUL, why aren't we already in this Brave New World? They have Presidents, Secretaries of State and Defense, CEOs of the largest corporations, remember? If Bush can pull off 911 and get away with it, these guys can't pull off a coup in decades of trying?

Gimme a break.

I have read extensively for years to learn what I have.
I don't frequent the comic racks anymore.

Most Americans are lazy and just judge from a little mainstream news.
I continue to be impressed by the respect you leftwingnuts show for the "common man" whom you supposedly protect and champion.

You don't find it disturbing that you and the John Birch Society agree on this?

people who so strongly take offense at what I post are unwilling to look at a single source that I provide. ie, get a video to watch or read a book on the subject

Or if they're really lazy they can even listen to a radio show like this while cleaning out the garage or drinking a mint julep by the pool
