Watson, re: >>"I have no doubt that Hackworth was very competent in some limited and focused area of military operations. But it's also obvious to me he has entered and area where he is an ignoramus and that he does not know it means he is an idiot......His griping is little than the soldiers who went on TV insulting the military leadership."<<

You also have the ignorance to say the Hackworth "could very well be a real hero based upon his actions.."

I suggest that you look him up and do a little reading. The man is one of the greatest officer warriors living, and trust me, I'm not a fan of officers. He's seen the REAL FACTS on guerrilla war and tactics. He literally wrote the book on it. Unlike Bush, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz and Cheney, he KNOWS what constitutes fertile ground for the formation of a guerrilla force, what it can do and what we can and cannot do in response.

This is yet another example of a knee-jerk, extremist reaction to information you don't like. Your attempt to dismiss this messenger as foolish and "griping," shines a floodlight back on your limited insight, objectivity and ability to understand the logic of a situation when it flies in the face of your worship of GAWB.
