Ted, The budget deficit is due to a number of factors none of which are really Davis's fault. Once again, Californians want to blame some one and Davis is their man.

I disagree. A number of factors were indeed Davis' fault. The Legislature may have a huge part of the budget responsibility, but it is Davis who allowed such spending to pass.

So what if Davis gets all of the blame? That's only natural. Coaches, corporate execs, doctors, and anyone else in a position of authority will have the blame focused on them if their subordinates mess up. Are you saying Davis never had the authority to control spending?

By the way, Californians also have a low opinion of the Legislature, but they can't exactly recall every state representative, now can they? If they tried, the $70M to recall Davis would be a bargain.

No. Angeline would be much worse!

I'd rather not get into a silly "Tyson vs. Angeline" debate, so I won't.
