<<Flashlights, with a Dept. of Homeland Security government contract seems like a safer play. >>
Back in the 1930's, you could get cheap dry-cells for 4 cents each , maybe 7 for good ones
Now Aisles have big displays of them at outrageous prices.
So I looked up Duracell, and Eveready, which used to be Union Carbide
Forget which companies I was able to find, I think it was Duracell
Am also very suspicious of their reported sales, because it would seem they sell a lot more batteries than the revenues indicate.
Very disappointing, I think management keeps all the profits. Could be the same with auto parts stores, it seems AZO should have done better for shareholders, as their stores are busy in this growing area
Thats just to say, some companies have good sales , good income, make enough to choke a horse, but if managed by greedy pigs the shareholders are are left out.
I'll buy any stock, so I glance at those type stocks from time to time, but they have to do better than the ones we are already holding as there is some added risk dealing with an unfamiliar one.
If you see something good, mention it here, can check it out
