<GST, half the UN wants to do nothing except thwart the US, no matter the cause> The veto holding members of the Security are all major powers with governments that we recognize as legitimate -- including China and Russia. They are not out to thwart the US for the sake of opposing our interests. They stood against the invasion because they thought it was a bad idea. They were right. Libya is dictating nothing to us. As for countries being against us, post 9/11 we had the world with us until "unilateral regime change by invasion" was adopted as policy and codified in the Bush Doctrine. Our problem is not the UN. Our problem is bad policy. You cannot expect the world to fall in line and support our bad policy.
