I have not yet "done" Egypt. It's definitely on my list. There just never seemed to be a right time to go.

Actually, I was in Cairo once, but only the airport. I've told this story before on SI. My entire experience in Cairo was sitting in a hot plane with a bunch of soldiers with machine guns. I did, however, get to see the pyramids from the air and that was a treat. It's lovely, too, where the desert meets the Mediterranean. There are so many marvelous things out there...
