re: AMD from the other thread: someone I know is married to one of the better chip designers in the valley. This guy gets called when they want to do new startups and stuff, so he must be pretty good. He LOVES the opteron, says it is a great chip. He can't figure out how they pulled it off over there at AMD. I see IBM and Sun are using it for their Linux boxes. I am thinking about adding a little AMD but their stock doesn't seem to be going anywhere... then this Barrons piece. I wanted to ask Cary about Cypress too. They have some new products.
