At this time, I can post a general summary of the picture...

THE LEGENDS OF PASSION, scheduled for release 2004
(The working title, but we may change the title to BUD AND BURT)

“Some reputations are earned, some come by mistake.”

"The Legends Of Passion" is a rollicking, wholesome family comedy western that relies on oddball characters, unusual situations and solutions, and madcap slapstick designed to entertain a wide based audience.

It’s 1880 in the old west, and nestled somewhere between Damnation, Tarnation, and the Dakota Indian lands, the little town of Passion has found comfort in its dullness as told by an ensemble cast of characters that each have their own unusual quirks and foibles.

The telegraph operator gets telegrams by stagecoach while he waits for the telegraph lines to come to town. When the telegraph operator speaks, he stutters in Morse code. The town doctor passes his time by sniffing ether while watching the bartender experiment with new drinks and snack foods for afternoon happy hour.

The Women’s League fuss about things that don’t concern them, especially when Mary and April Olsen come to town to operate the Lost Women Hotel and Hog’s Breath Saloon that were left to them by a deceased uncle. The crotchety bank manager deflects marriage proposals from her only clerk while collecting and counting her money. The undertaker weeds his patch of organic vegetables on grave sites.

In other words, a typical, normal little town.

When two drifter cowboys, Bud and Burt, wander into town, the older one wants to settle down with his asthmatic horse, while the younger wants to build a reputation for anything, even if it means robbing a bank. These two hapless cowboys quickly become entangled in the lives and problems of the people of Passion.

Once all the cast is signed with us, I can announce who will be in it...
