From what I've seen of Davis he's a dirty, nasty, political twit who thrives on the negative.

He's a lot like Jeb Bush......is that how you would describe him?

Jim, From what I've seen of Davis he's a dirty, nasty, political twit who thrives on the negative.

You see his latest trick? One of the biggest sore points in the minds of Californians is the tripling of the vehicle registration fees, ordered by Davis in June and going into effect in October. (Luckily, I paid "only" $240 for registering my new Beamer, since I got in before the hike goes into effect.)

Now he's suggesting repealing the hike, but making up for it with higher taxes for smokers and the "wealthy." Of course, he's hoping no one will remember that he raised the vehicle fee in the first place. One of his "genius" strategists said, "I operate on the theory that if you stick a thorn in someone's side, they're going to be a lot happier when you remove the thorn. If the car tax goes away, it's just one less reason to be angry at the incumbent governor."
