Are you sure that you're not engaging in selective logic? Given the fact that the engineers have no motivation to mislead, and in fact have motivation to go along with the status quo, doesn't it seem more logical (emotions aside) that the CIA and DIA are engaging in wishful thinking? Secondly, the other issue that points to the trailers as non-WMD is the fact that Bush himself and his administration are not leaning on them as proof. Seemingly, they also doubt the validity of the CIAs conclusions, else they would talk about it more often. Thirdly, you cannot assume that your limited exposure to the DOD can be extrapolated to all DOD engineers. That would not be a logical conclusion.
