Oh, that brings up another point. The defectors. It appears that, at the least, they were extremely misleading about a number of things in Iraq. Primarily, their assessment that the Iraqi people would 'rise up' against Saddam was either a gross miscalculation, or an outright lie. Obviously, their assessment of the WMD situation was at least as accurate... Another example of a group of people whose opinions needed to be weighed versus their motivations.
