somehow I'm not quaking<g> But I am gonna tell your momma on you.:-) on a more serious, intellectual note, I recently read The DaVinci Code. Quite an interesting novel. It involves an interpretation of the Holy Grail legend of which I was unaware. The roots of the Mary Magdalene version (with Magdalene herself as the san graal) are found in ancient cultures and their worship of the female goddess. Here's an article, which discusses the Grail legends: magdalene.org DaVinci Code is a decent book. The Magdalene/Holy Grail issues provide the backdrop for the action. This came to mind, given your evident disdain for all spheres of female influence and power, and your propensity to compartmentalize, shall we say, the true value of women. ( you little piglet<g>) Where would you be without us, FCOL!!! How would you find your socks, car keys or remote control? Eat anything other than cold pork and beans from the can? Know whether your ensemble makes you look ridiculous? Know when you've had one beer too many? Brings to mind a joke. It was the end of the world and people were arriving in heaven in droves. St. Peter was trying somehow to organize the throng. He said that God was proud of men, made them strong and dominant over women, and that those who properly exercised their dominion over women during their lives would get priority in entering heaven. He then directed that all men who had dominated their wives should line up to his right and the rest to his left. Well, the line on the left was immediately filled up with men, and there was only one soul in the line to the right. St. Peter was thunderstruck. He addressed himself to the sole man in the "dominant" line, praised him for being a real man, and asked him to explain how it was that he ended up in that line. The man replied, My wife told me to stand here. see?<g>
