Ray,

I don't remember saving a bookmark for the 15 minute quote, but I'm pretty sure it's something I ran across on one of the more comprehensive timeline sites. Going from memory, the source was a General in charge of NORAD in a previous administration.

The link I posted has videos showing the charges going off. It may not be obvious unless you download some software that will allow you to slow things down enough to spot the flashes. Your comment about electrical equipment shorting out is interesting, but copper and aluminum wires are much thinner, and have a much lower melting point than structural steel. I think I'd have trouble with any theory that included melted steel AND electrical equipment still able to carry juice, at the same time, in the same place. The plastic insulation on any wire would be long gone before steel absorbed enough heat to be too hot to touch. It might be appropriate to compare the flashes with Hollywood style electricity, but Hollywood style electricity is done with pyrotechnic displays.
