I guess I did have that wrong. I clearly missed those huge surpluses that REAGAN left this country with, and, of course, also forgot about the great depression that resulted from the "biggest tax increase in the history in the universe" at the beginning of the Clinton first term. Oh, and the record deficits Clinton/Rubin saddled Bush Jr. with, I think I missed those, too. Spin all you like. Took Bush Jr. one year to wipe out the Clinton/Rubin surpluses and if Bush wrecks only 20M more jobs, he will have totally wiped out the Clinton/Rubin legacy.
