As I recall, he's going after one company that sells particularly over the top stuff. "Mainstream" porn peddlers are not the target. I was bemused when he went after online pot pipe peddlers. I hadn't even known that was illegal. I asked a friend who is um... knowledgeable in these matters how long they had been illegal. He told me since the early 80s. That astonished me. My take is he looks at existing laws and does what he can to enforce them. Janet Reno, on the other hand, tried to redefine what porn is, do you remember that? She went after innocent parents who took nude pictures of their babies and one ad company that showed the underwear of a toddler. It was really sick how she interpreted these moments of innocence and translated them into porn.

They want to stop a women's right to choose

If Roe is overturned tomorrow abortion wouldn't be outlawed, it would simply be kicked to the states. Anyway, I think this is a red herring. Reagan was elected a mere 7 years after the Roe decision. Public opinion was still malleable and that was the height of the Moral Majority's influence. Did anything meaningful happen then? So what do people expect will happen lo these many years later? The fear of a Roe reversal is just a canard that NOW and NARAL skillfully employ every election cycle. It's a great money raiser for them.

Prayer in school is a good example

My favorite misanthrope has a great take on prayer in school:

"I'm for prayer in the schools because ritual and ceremony are calming and civilizing, and the little fartlings should be tamped down whenever possible" -Florence King

When someone believes he knows right from wrong on an absolute basis, and gets in power, he will impose it on you if he can.

We are, as they say, singing from the same hymn book here. But you are late to the party. It was time to start worrying about them in 94.

The way to attack porn ( and anything else people don't like ) has been paved by the trial lawyers attack on cigarettes. You will start to see a series of studies purporting to prove that pornography harms people (with some justification I believe). Armed with that ammunition, and a carefully selected court probably in the bible belt, the big porn companies will be sued and sued and sued. There is actually more money in porn than tobacco, and it's just as safe to bash pornography as it is tobacco, so I think it is an irresistible temptation to the trial lawyers.
