Yes, at the bottom of the 73/74 bear market, there were so many bargains out there, I would have been like a kid in a candy store with a thousand dollars in my pocket if I had the knowledge and power to trade the market back then. <g>

Speaking of the Dow having years of trouble breaking convincingly above 1,000 back then, anyone notice we are in a similar situation regarding Dow 10,000 these days? And I was not around back then :), but I believe the Dow had problems breaking convincingly above the 100 level early in the 20th century also, so there seems to be a "natural resistance" at the "one zero" level, whenever a new zero is added at the end of the number...
