interspersed through the book are discussions
of goddess mythology.

I find these topics interesting.
How cultures all over the world have similar
symbols and myths, and how they evolved.

I'm probably turning off some who would enjoy the book.
It's a mystery novel and well written.
As I said, the Holy Grail themes provide the context.

Carolyn sent me her copy of the book so I'd have something to read when they did the 4 hours of cancer cutting on my face. I didn't think I'd like it. After I read a couple of chapters I got stuck to it like duct tape on a NASCAR fender. I really was sorry to get to the end of the book. I wished it had gone on another 10,000 pages.
