Yes. And I suppose you think Social Security does that -- makes the elderly of our nation secure?

Indeed...for many elderly, SS is the only means of income. Stop being so worried about who is taking you money and think about the good it does for people worse off than you are.

What it does is to bankrupt our youth.

You are too busy greasing your palms to understand anything that has to do with a stable, orderly society that cares properly for its citizens at home and plays a measured role in the matters of the world...policies of "my way or the highway" are unfortunately expensive in more ways than one for our youth.

Some people just don't have the gumption to understand it. The $100B used to win the war is nothing when compared with the huge deficit in Social Security.

Of course, we spend billions more than we need to on killing tools, we give tax money back to people who least need it, and create deficits from surpluses...being the military juggernaut of all times is an expensive...but heady cause.. think of how much more we could do to make other nations contribute a bigger share towards the security of the world, and all the hatred it would spare us....and we'd still have enough weapons to detroy any enemy on any day...but hey, we'd have to be ready to share all this power with entities like the UN and NATO and we don't share some things, stupid as it may be.
