Gartner attributed the revenue Cisco and Juniper gained from North American and European service providers during the quarter indicates recovery as the ISPs build out their backbone networks. Gartner defines service-provider routers as carrier-class routers capable of providing multigigabit bandwidth to support high-speed wide-area network interfaces.

Comcast is upgrading to ~750 MHz cable in my area, about a doubling of the current carrier frequency if my memory is correct. A cable guy came by yesterday to ask how my service was (terrible as it keeps going out due to the upgrade). He said I should get even more premium channels with the upgrade and he was trying to get some "complaints" I think to get more help with the upgrades. I had to smile as this upgrade means more equipment is being ordered and consumed.
