On days I trade I watch these all in streaming real time, the key is "relative percentage of movement" against the QQQ or NDX... However the first thing I look at is how many of them are UP/down siliconinvestor.com ----- Now the other BIGHIBETA ( beta over 2, with Market cap over 15B ) I also look at, and it's not doing so bad, I see rotation into the larger caps, mostly index fund buying..but I can't say it will last. ----- The KEY thing about trading is "patience" and not trading when you know you can't call it, and knowing no one can call it over about 25% of the time. In fact 25% is real good and better than I can do. But that's what gets back to "patience" and waiting until you know you can. Don't get me wrong I'm not calling the market right now, I'm just saying it's high risk ( both ways ) when I do call it, ( which may be only 10% of the time ) I'll be right 95% of the time. It's those who think they can call it 95% of the time that go to the poor house trying.. ----- Note the small high beta had 12 out of 23 going down today...well that's no good. I won't bet when it's that close. I want to see no more than 6 of them down...or to short no more than 6 of them up.. --- THE SOX is a poor GOD of the market...HI BETA is a better indicator. ONLY good if you watch them as a group in streming real time. Jim PS note what happend to DELL after the BELL..and on good news..!!! and the QQQ has just dropped her pants too.., the day the lights went out fear just hit with a power outage in NY State , & no one knows why... Shit a big protion on the N.E. is affected... If they don't get it back up soon some real fear will hit the markets. SPY is falling too... --- Taht aside DELL selling off after hours on good news is something else ..
