Cary: Sorry about the name... I am lucky to remember names of folks I windsurf with. Asking me to remember how to spell a name is a bit much. -g-

I thought everyone, including you of all people, know how UTEK and LRCX have changed. What percentage of revenue does UTEK make from the disk drive market? It was over 50% at one time... -g-

UTEK... LTP plus gold and solder bumps for flat screens and chips. Not much more to say there. Growing markets and >90% market share for the bumps I think. It seems a pro agrees with me after today's upgrade... but they are often wrong.

LRCX. Management team has done a good job meeting expectations, cutting costs, gaining market share, etc... Good enough for me to continue to hold as I "take profits" selling some as it goes higher and higher so I can consider buying back if and when it eventually cycles low again.

As for quality, I think we are in the period of the cycle where the 25V sine wave is equal to the 115V sine wave so half the out performance is already there and the 2nd half is much tougher to grab as the risks of missing are larger where you have to carry the shares all the way through the next cycle. Since I am not sure I can keep beating the market cycle after cycle (I have 3 under my belt that have financed my lifestyle the past 5 yrs) I also hold core shares in all as I think the sector will be good over the long term. Meaning, I don't intend to even try selling all at or near a top, but just some. I'd consider myself lucky if I get out near the top with 50%... but selling 10% of a holding every time it goes up 20% works well for me too. Gives plenty to buy back later at lower prices.
