If this had happened, Nadine, it would have been all over the Western Media. This is not a private matter in the Military. The reporters would have picked up on it.

Hi Nadine, it's not so much the specifics of what they said. Although I agree with Bill the western media probably would have picked up on it. It's the tone of the article which makes me believe it's a fabrication. Starting off with this....

Discovering an Islam that is totally different from the one smeared in their media, a number of American servicemen and women were said to have embraced Islam and married Iraqis.

First of all, Islam is not "smeared" in our media. On the contrary, it's given every excuse and break possible. Secondly, I seriously doubt a "number" of American service men and *women* have embraced Islam.

The rest of the article flows down this same tone line.

Hope that explains where my smell came from.
