Did you get scammed on a market order again Dealer? If you
did, don't look for any discount broker to fix it for you
every time it happens IMO. They can't afford to do that &
they won't go after the MM's either. It's easier to stick
it to you & give you every excuse under the sun. Since you
can't prove your market order was handled out of order,
etc., you are basically screwed, again IMO.

....IOW.... been there.... done that.

As for discount brokers, I use Waterhouse. They are not
much different than Brown with the problems you are having.
Heck, they've let MM's trade around limit orders in stocks
they make a market in, like NTAP & QLGC. If I hadn't been
watching it live, they would have let their MM's get away
with it & let me tell you, they still tried to stick me.

I've looked around at other discount brokers just to move
my money out of Waterhouse. So far I haven't found any
discount broker that frequent traders have had few problems
with.

BTW, I am considering Ameritrade myself. They seem to not
have as many folks grumble about them, but that is only
from my anecdotal searching SI & I-Hub & Google.
