No, I bet the real reason is those greedy Republican power company CEOs, skimping on maintenance so they can line their pockets with exorbitant salaries -- and send some over to Bush, provided he cuts their taxes even more.

Ironically, there was a show on Niagara on PBS this afternoon. I heard about the outage after flipping the channels.

I had no idea that only half of the Niagara river's water tumbles over the Falls. Only 25% at night. The rest is diverted for power generation along man made canals six stories deep. Absolutely amazing engineering.
