Tim, great point..

Also, one must consider that today's young, when they are older, are going to be poorer than today's poor, since a social security tax rate approaching 50% will be required to sustain the current benefit payout.

Sorry I worded the post I am replying to very poorly.

It should read

The elderly overall are richer then the young and SS is not means tested.
