No You've got it all wrong. What we're saying is that if you cozy up to a murderous thug, and give him weapons, even when he is killing his own people, because he also happens to be killing some people you want him to kill, and THEN one day it becomes convenient to throw up your hands and say "OH, my gosh, look at that big bad man" you look like a real big hypocrite. That's all I am saying, and others are saying it too. ' Now I was protesting our government's support of Saddam when he was gassing the Kurds AND the Iranians. I didn't like it one little bit. But oddly enough when Mr. Bush decided to invaded the country, Saddam wasn't killing all that many people- most of the huge atrocities of the Kurds (and of course all the gassings of Iranians) occurred when he was our bud. And he was our bud- don't kid yourself- I'll be happy to dig up the quotes, if you are into that sort of thing.
