Their only concern is getting power and all their time is spent seeking it.

Now that Buffett has all the money in the world, what's left for him to grab but some power?

Arnold had always struck me as a pretty boy.

But given that that my impression had been garnered from my reaction to his films, rather than having heard/read his political thinking, that may be unfair. I just have an instinctive and profound distrust of celebrity as a foundation for political advancement.

However, this business with Buffet intrigues me. He is a no-nonsense guy, and as you say, he can read the books. The fact that Arnold brought him on board shows something. On the flip side, didn't he also bring on Pete Wilson?

However, the plus side would be that Arnold would be a major thorn in the side of both Repubs and Dems, and without possibility of rising higher, there is no worry that Presidential aspirations will taint his policies.

That said, I still dislike the idea of this Recall.
