Yeah, instead of working with the other nations in the world we simply tell them what to do. Kinda like the Hitler doctrine.

We have some power over Presidential doctrine - every 4 years. The power we cede to the UN is forever gone.

While I don't like either I prefer the Bush doctrine to the CLinton doctrine.

Neither Clinton or Bush are "one-worlders".

I think it was more a matter of the Clinton was willing to use the UN when it was useful, and Bush feels it more important to abuse the UN to cater to the domestic "bring it on" crowd. I prefer the Clinton (Powell) doctrine. Fewer of our people get killed. It's too humiliating for Bush to go to the UN to internationalize the Iraq war, and convince some other countries to commit troops so that some of ours can come home?
