Yes, it might indeed depend on how we "confront" them. I agree with that. Sometimes when you "confront" a hornet's nest, you get stung badly. Our ability to "confront" these particular fanatics has now been hampered by our misadventure in Iraq, where the fanatics were not. Not only have we wasted valuable resources, but we have actually made the people of Iraq much more susceptible to radicalization by Al Qaeda and the thousands of other little groups springing up that want to be just like them. I don't know if you read the Arab press, but the people of Iraq appear to be turning on the US, and it is happening fast.
