Keeping taxes expensive and complicated doesn't hurt his big and growing investment in HRBlock. The reality of this guy has more in common with the Russian oligarchs than it has with his image of good simple honest businessman from Omaha. estate taxes are a logical target. As you've heard me say before, inheritances are nothing more than welfare for the well-to-do. You'd be doing them a favor by raising the state's estate tax to make up for the drop in the federal rate.
