There goes the ROE retarded again. Upgrading the power system is an investment in infrastructure and buying into new will make more available for less. Productivity increases lead to lower costs. Now the blackout will likely make technology idiotic dems who are led around by the nose by environmental whacko's to expose their stupidity again and screw the dems even more.

All the prominent dems know so little about technology that they can only have a hissyfit and tell America the President is lying again.

Well, we still dont know exactly what happened, but everyone SEEMS to be in agreement that whatever the cause our TRANSMISSION lines must be upgraded. As I understand it, the failure to upgrade had to do with being SEVERELY restricted by GOVT. and thus incapable of generating the revenue necessary to stay modern. So, I would presume Deregulation will come to fore in Transmission so there may in fact be an increase to users in their rates over time, but generally speaking increased efficiency often leads to lower costs eventually. In any rate, its a price we must pay to be a modern economy. jdn
