That's just the Business Network trying to distract people from the obvious fact that Big Business has screwed things up.

It is also interesting that they focused so much coverage on the power outage in New York, as if there was no other news happening, which of course, there was. But since they are all based in NYC now, I suppose that kind of city-centrism is understandable. Cleveland and Detroit also had outages but they got scarcely a mention. CNN used to be based in Atlanta, but in recent years they have moved most of their HQ to NYC. At least they still have major facilities in Atlanta. It's just another example of how the big media have coalesced into a few, very large multinationals now, both geographically and organizationally.

Actually the people responsible for the Great Blackout of 03 are traitors to their own country, no different than if they joined the Taliban in my opinion...
Fortunately I am set up with some emergency power, water and food, but most Americans are not, and an extended power outage would be disastrous.
