everyone is entitled to their own opinion Mr Hawkmoon but one thing is not opinion it is fact and that is the following:

It is NOT fact..

Its all about "the Global primacy of the USA"
The Projection of Power to the rest of the World....

Were it "fact" the US had all the power it required right after WWII, when it amounted to 50% of the global economy and was the sole nuclear power.

What IS fact, is that the only "global primacy" the US has displayed has been the advocacy of governmental accountability, where practical, and the openess of economic markets...

So if it's bad for the US to advocate anti-colonialism, democracy, and free markets, then I guess I have to plead "guilty as charged"....

And I do not deny that US policy has not also been either totally successful, or consistent during the years since WWII.. But with a cold war to fight, there were compromised and "exceptions" made in various regions.

But even now, every US administration in recent memory has pushed such ideas, where possible.

The New Global Economy if allowed to progress without major considerations forced through American leverage would spell disaster for the USA.

And how do you stop it? Take away people's computer trading accounts? Ban emerging market mutual funds? Deprive investors in foreign economies the ability to repatriate their profits when certain governments fall short of the expectations these investors have?

The global economy is coming chuck, whether you like it or not. In fact, it's already here. Financial markets have, and continue, to democratize.. They permit people to seek the best return in the best economic environment.

And when they don't like the way in which such governments take advantage of their investment dollars, they leave and those economies falter... and then those economies institute accounting and regulatory policies that will encourage that capital back to them..

If you have an alternative to globalization, then please share it with us..

If not, then don't claim opinion as being fact..
