Just a prudent management of a resource base

Now that I think about it, privatizing the Utilities but keeping the rates controlled by the Government is more of a Fascist approach. The regulators give them rates that cover basic cost but not enough to cover building new infrastructure. If the Naderite greens in your family succeed in closing down your nukes, Heaven help you.

The last time Hawaiian Electric went down, they were out a week. The only place with power was the Mormon University on the windward side. (private enterprise.) When that happens again, at least I can walk across the street to the beach and jump in the ocean to cool off.
