I agree with the general premise that regulation is to blame -- going to read the article at lunch here. Transmission (lack thereof) is the problem, IMO.

too simple -- plus he lost me when he started singing the praises of FDR and Davis -- Davis didn't stand up to the power companies -- and that wasn't the problem -- it was the flawed dereg attempt in the first place, which was the former governor's fault. Was money and influence used to ram "dereg" through?? sure ... but there were a lot of people for it intellectually and philisophically, unfortunately, they didn't understand the systems and they became "patsies" for the money grubbers -- at least that is my take, FWIW.

Now ur husband has another excuse for fiscal recklessness -- what else has gubmnt busted that we can fix for considerably more money??
