Big countries can pull off incredibly large massacres and then remain in denial, or even continue to brag about their victory

Syria leveled Hama in 1982 and bragged about it. Is Syria a big country?

<The world is not a fair place, and that is to Israel's disadvantage.>

Carl, it's true that it's still a dog eat dog world, but the dogs have much better table manners than a century ago when they didn't even say grace.

Now, the idea of 10 million being killed would horrify most people. That number was taken in stride many times during the 20th century. In the 19th century, it was even more constant conflict, and everywhere. In the 18th century, slavery and cannibalism were rampant. In the 17th century, they didn't even have microwave ovens, let alone cyberphones.

Things are much, much, much more fair now than even 10 years ago, let alone 30 years ago. We are making great progress.

We don't have to accept that the world is not a fair place. It doesn't need to create Utopia to take an action. An improvement is always welcome.
