Actually, it was the aristocrats who were fascinated with the Americans. Surely you have heard of the liberal sentiments of Louis XVI? He actually embraced the early phase of the Revolution, which created something like the English system, until the Jacobins took power and began to attack the Church. It was his piety which caused the final breach.

So that is how we got the support of Spain, Italy, Poland, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, and so on, they all speak English! Interesting theory. And Canada didn't support us because they speak----- French?

True, Israel cannot "pull off a final solution". Unless the Palestinians do something so awful few would blame them for driving them away.........
